Preliminary Diminished Value Opinion Report

For insurance companies, the most popular diminished value service has been our preliminary diminished value opinions.  These opinions are just that, the certified opinion of an expert in diminished value.  The methodology used to develop our opinion is the same methodology that we painstakingly describe and demonstrate in the full USPAP stand alone report, but we don’t use nearly as much paper, and within the opinion it clearly states the result is based on our knowledge and experience with auto damages and values.

USPAP Compliant Diminished Value Reports

Sometimes, a full inspection and court worthy report is needed in order to properly document the lost value sustained by a motor vehicle.  In cases like these, our office will drive to the vehicle owner and inspect the repair quality and general quality of the subject vehicle. Our office will then conduct the appropriate market research and perform all the tasks needed to produce a credible dollar value estimation as to the residual diminished value suffered by the subject vehicle.
